06/26/2007 - Auto-hosting for New Domain Names
As you know, in April we launched the new Domain Manager with a lot of new features and an improved usability, but we did not stop there. We have implemented a new feature that we bet you'll like. Until now, each domain that you registered or transferred through the Domain Manager had to be manually added to the Hosted Domains to work with your web hosting account. Although it didn't seem to be a big problem, an additional action was required by you and knowing that time is money, we have tried to save some of yours.
More details about the new feature
The domain order procedure has been changed slightly and now it is smart enough to ask you whether you want to host the domain that you are registering, instead of leaving it with a "floating" status and use it at a later time.
But what if the web hosting plan that you have now does not allow you to host additional domains? Well, the system will check if your plan has available domain hosting slots and if there aren't, it will suggest the most appropriate upgrade option.
At the last step, the complete information about the services that you have selected is displayed, so that you can see clearly what you are going to order and what the price for each service is.
This improved order procedure makes it possible to register/transfer domain names and get them ready for use more easily than before. Having this in mind, we hope that you would consider taking advantage of this new functionality of the Domain Manager.
